STAY TUNED gallery and the Château Saint-Maur Cru Classé wine estate located in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez are joining forces for the summer of 2023 to present E-RAW-LUTION, an exhibition off the beaten track featuring four established and emerging female artists, each exploring the importance of matter within their creation.
Taking place in the heart of a unique architecture and highlighting the material through these Provençal landscapes, E-RAW-LUTION is the first major exhibition dealing with this subject to take place in this space, and answering an essential question:
“ Art is material, and is made of matter. However, is there a limit to the creation of matter?’.
In order to answer this question, STAY TUNEDTUNED gave carte blanche to four artists, women, reinterpreting the material and defining it in a new way in order to re-imagine and transform this space which inspired us to design this exhibition.
Each artist was asked to give their personal interpretation of the notion of matter and to draw inspiration from the space in which their work was going to be exhibited in order to transcribe textures, matter and light, essential to their creation within this architectural space. raw and with minimalist curves that is Château Saint Maur. The material and its evolution are a constant search for the artists, so it was essential for them to take possession of the space by being aware of it and adapting to the architecture of the domain.
